Handwashing Options:

Keep counting 1-20, (or more as we did 30) for hand washing! We got on the train early, Go Preschool!!

OR Sing

Wash, Wash, Wash your hands

Wash them and night!

Soap and water does the trick

To make them clean and bright!

And rinse…..

(Song should last 20+ sec.rinse after you say rinse.)

Language:

Describe the weather each day- look out the window, is it cloudy, sunny, rainy, windy, cold, cool, or warm?
What letter does the weather words for the day start with? C for cloudy, S for sunny etc.

Work on phonetics
Find more words that start with those letters. Your child should blurt them out! We practice that every day at circle time!

Try asking open questions like:

What does you Mom/Dad/Guardian do for a living?

How does each position contribute to our community?

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

How does that help our bodies?

Why do we want to keep a healthy body?

 

A game to play for exercise:

Give Me Ten -

Have your child(ren) say an exercise and do 10 reps. Jumping jacks, sit-ups, kicks, jumps, squats, Stretches.  

 

Math and science

During bath time try to find elements that sink and ones that float. Talk about why?

OR

Over the sink let them play with funnels, measuring cups, and little tongs if you have them. Good for their fine motor. Utilize the fine motor skills like lacing, zipping, and transferring objects.
